A term coined by Cory Doctorow(Pluralistic) as shown above in a speech he gave at DEF CON 31. This really hit home for me in the past year as I realized more and more that platforms or products I used to champion for due to their ease of use, build quality, or pricing, have all begun to turn to shit. As the various platforms of the internet decay, something new must rise up from their carrion.
